Chinese mathematicians have known about how to solve simultaneous linear
algebraic equations of any order as early as the Han Dynasty.
Chapter 8, Question 1 of Nine Chapters not only explained the
method, it also post the following example equations:
3 x + 2 y + z = 39
2 x + 3 y + z = 34
x + 2 y + 3 z = 26
The answers are given as: x = 9 1/4, y = 4 1/4, z = 2 3/4
