From what domains are our readers referred to us?

Most of the readers of China the Beautiful are referred to us from Google and other major search engines. Unlike in the early years of Internet, very few readers found our web site from references or recommendations of other web sites.

Our computer kept detail statistics of all web traffic.
For the month of January 2007, there were 1,131,000 unique visits.
Of these, 728,000 have known domain names. Of these, the top 50 domains are as follows:

With 700,000 data points in one month, the results can be considered quite reliable. The results are generally consistent with previous year's results.

Over 70% of our readers came to us via Google.
After Google, Yahoo is the second most with over 9%.
These two are followed by baidu.com 百度 with over 5%,
and hao123.com 好123网页 with 1.6%.
Other sites, imcluding AOL and MSN, have far fewer referers, with less than 1% each.

The statistics above exclude the web traffic related to the Forum, and only counts readings of web pages of China the Beautiful.
