Oil transportation o Atasu-Alashankou pipeline in Jan-Nov 2008 increased by over 25%

Almaty. December 22. Kazakhstan Today - In January-November 2008 on pipeline Atasu-Alashankou it was transported 5,58 million tons of oil, what exceeded the last year rate by 26,45% for the same period, agency reports with reference to Xinhua agency.

According to custom service of Urumchi, in general the volume of oil supplies on pipeline from Kazakhstan to China from July 2006, when the object was put into operation, it reached 12,11 million tons.

For the 11 months of current year the volume of gathered custom payments under the oil transportation made up 4,1 billion yuan, having increased by 69,74%. The total volume of payments from July 2006 reached 7,93 billion yuan.

The first Chinese transborder oil pipeline start in Atasu (Kazakhstan) and reaches checking point Alashakou at the border of Kazakhstan and China, from where the oil goes further on Dushantsy (Shinjang), where branch of PetroChina company operates.
